Cookie Policy

You can read every verse on this site without accepting anything. Nothing on the reading pages sets a cookie, and there is no banner to dismiss because there is currently nothing to ask you about.
1. What is actually set today
Only two cookies exist on carrythisverse.com, and both are strictly necessary — they do the thing you asked for, and nothing else.

Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent under the ePrivacy Directive or the UK PECR, which is why you are not being asked.
2. Not cookies, but worth naming
Two things are kept in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device and are not sent to our servers with any request.

3. Analytics: not enabled
There is currently no analytics on this site, and therefore no analytics cookie. The project ships with Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity behind a switch, and that switch is off. Nothing is loaded from Google or Microsoft while you read.
If we turn either on, we will ask for your consent first, this page will list the exact cookies before they are set, and the choice will be one you can change later. For the record, what they would set:

Clarity is worth naming separately: it records how a page was used — scrolling, clicks, mouse movement — and plays it back to us. That is more than counting visits, so it will never be switched on silently.
4. Third parties we deliberately do not use
- No advertising or retargeting pixels. No Meta pixel, no ad network, no conversion tags.
- No font CDN. The fonts are served from our own domain. A Google Fonts link would tell Google which page you opened, on every page, for every visitor — and would be pointless here anyway, since the wallpaper renderer needs the same font files locally.
- No embedded video or social widgets that would set cookies before you click anything.
Two exceptions, both only when you act: signing in with Google contacts Google, and the Pinterest share button opens Pinterest in a new window. Neither happens on page load.
5. Controlling cookies
Every browser can block or delete cookies — usually under Settings → Privacy. Blocking the two cookies above will not stop you reading anything; it will only mean you cannot stay signed in, and the site will forget your language choice. If analytics is enabled in future, you will be able to decline it without losing any part of the site, because nothing here depends on it.
