Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of carrythisverse.com. They are written to be read, not to be survived — if something here is unclear, email support@carrythisverse.com and we will explain it in plain words.

1. What this service is

Carry This Verse publishes Bible verses grouped by situation, with an editorial note on each, a free tool that turns a verse into a wallpaper or a print file, and two paid digital products: Memorial Page & Cards and Wedding Page & Cards. Reading is free and needs no account. Downloading wallpapers requires a free account.

2. The verses

Scripture quotations are from the Berean Standard Bible (BSB), which is public domain. That means the verse text itself carries no licence restrictions from us or from anyone else. The grouping, the commentary, the artwork and the layouts are ours — see section 4.

3. What you may do with the files you make

Whichever size you take, you may:

• use it as your phone, tablet or desktop wallpaper;
• print it for yourself, your home, or as a gift;
• use it in a church service, small group, or classroom;
• post it on social media, including Pinterest.

You may not:

• sell the file, or a print of it, or list it on a marketplace such as Etsy, Redbubble or a print-on-demand shop;
• redistribute the artwork on its own, without the verse, or use it as stock material in another design product;
• feed the artwork or the commentary into a model as training data, or scrape the site in bulk.

This is a licence to use, not a transfer of ownership. If you want to use something here commercially, ask — the answer is often yes, and it costs you one email.

4. What belongs to us

The commentary, the way verses are grouped, the layout templates, the colour systems and the background artwork are original work and are protected by copyright. The name Carry This Verse and the site's design are ours as well. Nothing on this page grants you a right to reuse those separately from a wallpaper you made here.

5. Accounts

An account lets you download wallpapers and keeps your saved verses, memorial pages and wedding pages together across devices. You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself and for what happens under your account. Tell us if you think someone else is using it. You can delete your account at any time, and doing so deletes your saved verses with it; a paid memorial or wedding page is not refunded because an account is deleted. We may suspend an account that is being used to attack the site or to abuse other people.

6. Acceptable use

Please do not:

• scrape, mirror, or bulk-download the site;
• try to break, overload, or work around the paid and unlocked tiers;
• use the generator to produce material that harasses a person or a group, or that presents a verse as endorsing violence toward them.

7. This is not counselling, medical, or pastoral advice

Several pages here deal with illness, addiction, depression and death. The verses and the notes beside them are published as reading, not as treatment, diagnosis, or pastoral direction for your particular situation. Nothing here should replace a doctor, a therapist, or a pastor who knows you.

If you are thinking about harming yourself, please contact your local emergency number or a crisis line now. In the US and Canada you can call or text 988. In the UK and Ireland you can call 116 123.

8. Payment

Reading and wallpapers are free. Memorial Page & Cards ($45) and Wedding Page & Cards ($9.90) are separate, one-time purchases of digital content, priced in US dollars. The price is shown before checkout and there is no subscription or recurring charge. Payment is processed by our payment provider, Waffo; we never see or store your card details. Once payment is confirmed, the purchase is delivered straight away: your printable PDF files and QR code unlock for download, and your memorial or wedding page is published at its link. No physical items are shipped, and printing is up to you.

9. Refunds and cancellations

Memorial Page & Cards and Wedding Page & Cards are digital content delivered immediately after payment. Once a purchase has been delivered, it is non-refundable, including if you change your mind, order the wrong layout, or do not end up printing or using the files. Before you pay, you can preview the card and the page for free and edit them as much as you like, so please check names, dates and the verse before checkout. After purchase you can still edit the card and page, and download the files again, from the browser you made them in or, if you were signed in, from Your keepsakes in your account.

By completing checkout you ask us to deliver the digital content immediately, and you acknowledge that, where the law gives you a right to withdraw from an online purchase (for example the 14-day right in the EU and UK), you lose that right once delivery has started.

We will refund a purchase in full if:

• you were charged more than once for the same memorial or wedding page;
• your payment went through but the purchase was never unlocked, and we cannot fix it within 7 days of you telling us;
• the files or the page have a defect on our side (for example the PDF will not open, or the QR code does not open your page) that we cannot fix within 7 days of you telling us; or
• the charge was not made by you or with your permission.

To ask for a refund, email support@carrythisverse.com within 30 days of purchase with the email address you paid with, and your order number or the link to the page. We reply within 3 business days. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method through Waffo, usually within 5–10 business days depending on your bank. Once a purchase is refunded, we may lock its paid downloads and take its page offline.

Cancellations. There is nothing to cancel after checkout, because there is no subscription. If you close checkout before paying, you are not charged and your draft stays saved. Please contact us before opening a dispute or chargeback with your bank; most problems are fixed faster by email.

Nothing in this section limits refund or consumer rights that the law where you live gives you and that cannot be waived.

10. Availability, and no warranty

We do our best to keep the site up and the files rendering correctly, but this is offered as it is, without any warranty. We do not promise that it will always be available, that every combination of verse and template will work, or that it is fit for a particular purpose of yours.

11. Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, Carry This Verse is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud, because the law does not allow that to be limited.

12. Ending it

You can stop using the site at any time and delete your account from your settings. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken, and we will say why unless doing so would make an ongoing abuse worse.

13. Changes, and the law that applies

When these terms change, the date at the top changes and the new version applies from that day. If a change materially reduces your rights and you have an account, we will email you. These terms are governed by the laws applicable at our place of establishment, and nothing in them removes consumer rights you have where you live.
